Privacy policy

The short version. Right now this site does one thing with your data: if you join the launch list, it stores your email address so we can send you a single message when we open. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to a newsletter. You can have it deleted at any time by replying to that email or writing to hello@bringbackphoto.com.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Kevin, who runs Bring Back Photo as an individual. You can reach us at hello@bringbackphoto.com, and that address is read by a person, not a ticketing system. If you would rather deal with a named individual in writing, ask, and you will get one.
Bring Back Photo is not yet a registered company: it is a product being tested before launch, run by one person, and it sells nothing today. It will be registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce before it takes a single payment, and this page will carry the registration and VAT numbers from that day.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, when you choose to join the launch list. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). We use it once, to tell you the service is live and to send the discount we promised.
- Your country and the page that referred you, recorded alongside the signup so we know which adverts are working. This is derived from the request, not from a tracker.
- Meta Pixel analytics, but only if you press Accept on the cookie notice. Nothing loads, and no identifier is set, unless you do. The legal basis is consent, and you can withdraw it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Photographs you upload for restoration — once the service launches. Uploads are used solely to produce your result, are never used to train models, and are deleted within seven days.
How long we keep it
Launch-list addresses are kept until we launch and send that email, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If the project does not launch, the list is deleted. Uploaded images are deleted within seven days of processing.
Who else sees it
The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, and the launch list is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV. Cloudflare acts as our processor and stores the data inside the EU where its network allows. If you consent to analytics, Meta Platforms Ireland receives the pixel data as an independent controller. Nobody else receives your address, and we never sell it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object to processing. Because we hold little more than an email address, the simplest route is to email hello@bringbackphoto.com and we will act within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If this policy changes materially before launch, the updated date above will change and anyone on the list will be told in the launch email.
